DUI Charge: Motorist in Wednesday’s Car Accident Tests More Than Twice Legal Blood-Alcohol Limit

Police arrested a 35-year-old Stamford woman in connection with the two-car accident Wednesday night on Old Stamford Road that sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.

At about 6:58 p.m. on Feb. 3, officers were dispatched to the area of Old Stamford Road at Oak Grove Place on a report of the crash, according to a police report.

A subsequent investigation led to charges brought against the woman, including driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to drive right.

She failed standard field sobriety tests and tested at more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit in a breath test, the report said.

The woman was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
