Hundreds of parents, friends and other residents cheered from the darkened seats of the New Canaan High School auditorium on Saturday night as about 100 seniors strutted their stuff in casual, athletic, dressy and prom wear during the NCHS Senior Fashion Show.

The major fundraiser for Post Prom, the annual show saw some $6,800 in tickets sold in advance, Chair Whitney Williams said.

Here’s a video from the show featuring local band Triple Coil:

“It’s pretty heavily attended,” Williams said as students shuffled from a pre-show dinner in the Wagner Room to separate areas to change and get made up for the runway. “We have prom fashions from A Step Ahead in Stamford and Camillo’s in Norwalk. The rest of the fashions have been provided by local vendors.”

Those included Athletic Shoe Factory, Blaze-In, Caren Forbes, Darien Sport Shop, Island Outfitters, J. McLaughlin, Jos. A. Bank, She La La, TOGS, Vineyard Vines and Wave. Melissa Engel, a stylist for Carlisle Per Se, and local florist Bon Fleur, also helped with the formal wear, the show’s program said. Donor prizes were provided by the Arnone Family, Benefit Cosmetics, Manfredi Jewelers, Regency Limousine Inc. and Torn Worcester for Creative Artists.

Emceed by Matt DeMattia, Chloe DeMauro, Jake Morris, Carly Risom, Jamie Schlim, Charlie Sosnick, Chris Tohir and Corrine Vietorisz, the show featured performances from a woodwind quartet (Claire Conley, Jackie Monzon, Brian Sandor and Kyle Street), two songs from Triple Coil (Dan Antinou, Eric Cohen, Justin Podlesak and Kyle Street) and a performance from members of the cast of “Grease,” the NCHS Theatre musical (Deven Appel, Shaan Appel, Jack Dahill, Charlotte Engel, Lillian Engel, Jacob Freedgood, Audrey Kilpatrick, Elizabeth Koennecke, Nancy Leville, Kenon Lysenko, Lauren Mellinger, Brian Qela and Nick Ranieri).

The post-prom chairs include Williams, Susan Kammler and Cam Hutchins. Chairs for the fashion show itself are Eve Taben, Lisa Arnone, Anne Greco and Sangeeta Appel, Williams said. The script for the show was penned by Kathryn Tohir, she said.
