Growing Your Family Tree: Genealogy Talk at New Canaan Library

Sunday, February, 18, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Genealogy can be fascinating, but information on ancestors can be elusive. Learn how to find the right answers with a presentation by expert genealogist Toni McKeen, who will speak at New Canaan Library on Sunday, February 18 at 2 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.
Critical to finding the information one seeks is understanding the capabilities of available genealogy websites, knowing which various databases exist, and learning how to use these resources. McKeen will educate participants on how and where to begin doing family research, which important websites to use, and how to establish a system to keep track of a family tree as more ancestors are added.
Toni McKeen has taught genealogy courses for the last 14 years. She has taught over 4000 hours of genealogy at Founders Hall in Ridgefield, Redding, CT as well as Bronxville and Mamaroneck, NY. Toni has lectured at various genealogy societies in the New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Boston, and Long Island areas.
