Making Her Story: Carolyn Miles

Tuesday, May, 15, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Presented in front of a live audience, WNPR’s Lucy Nalpathanchil hosts in-depth, one-on-one conversations with prominent and successful Connecticut-based women. American women continue to face an array of choices and challenges on the path to individual success. Connecticut Public Radio’s Making Her Story highlights those who have forged their own paths in business, science, and the arts while navigating an unprecedented array of career, civic, family and lifestyle choices.
Join us as we celebrate the contribution of Carolyn Miles, President and Chief Executive Officer of Save The Children and help us share her story of success with others. The event will include a reception and the conversation will be recorded for a later broadcast on WNPR.
CAROLYN MILES is President and Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children, an organization that gives children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. Miles joined the organization in 1998, was COO from 2004-2011, and became President and CEO in September 2011. Under her senior leadership, the organization has more than doubled the number of children it reaches with nutrition, health, education, and other programs. Miles’ signature issues include hunger, learning outcomes, and ending preventable child deaths.
