The World Affairs Forum, dedicated to expanding understanding of global affairs and America’s role in the world, presents a Great Decisions Series event: “Wither France and the EU in a Time of Resurgent Nationalism”
Hosted by Herrick Chapman, Associate Professor of History and French Studies, Dept. of History and Institute of French Studies, New York University.

Herrick Chapman teaches history and French studies at New York University. He is the author of France’s Long Reconstruction: In Search of the Modern Republic (forthcoming, October 2017). His other books include State Capitalism and Working-Class Radicalism in the French Aircraft Industry; and co-authored with Peter Stearns, European Society in Upheaval: Social History since 1750 (third edition). He has also co-edited several books, including Race in France: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Politics of Difference. Since 1999 he has served as the editor of the journal French Politics, Culture & Society.
