PHOTOS: ‘Prom-Posal’ By Cappuccino Wins Inaugural Junior Prom Contest; Senior Prom Entries Due Friday

More

NewCanaanite.com is happy to announce the winner of its first annual “Prom-posal” Photo Contest.

New Canaan High School junior Trevor Konspore asked out his date, sophomore Danielle MacKimm, via Zumbach’s cappuccino (see photo above). Konspore has won a $50 gift certificate that’s good at dozens of New Canaan businesses. His entry was deemed best based on the criteria of creativity, humor and originality, as per a panel of judges convened by the New Canaanite editors that included representatives from the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce.

We’ve included honorable mention finalists for this year’s Junior Prom-posal contest in the gallery, too. Thanks for your submissions, everyone!

Senior Prom-posal entries are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 13.

Here’s how it works (see rules below):

  • WhatNewCanaanite.com will reward the most creative NCHS proposals—one for Junior Prom, one for Senior Prom—with
  • How: Entries can be submitted to terry@newcanaanite.com — a photo or video with a short blurb about the proposal, including the names and emails (for confirmation) of the asker and “askee.”

Rules

  • No vulgar, dangerous or otherwise inappropriate entries will be considered.
  • You must use your real name when submitting as well as the intended date’s name, with a valid email for each so that we can confirm both parties want to enter.
  • File format for photos must be jpeg or png.
  • If a video file is too big to email, you can DropBox it.
  • Once the photo is submitted, you are granting us the right to publish it.

Good luck, seniors!

Mike & Terry
