Police on Sunday night arrested a 44-year-old Ansonia man by warrant after a domestic violence incident.

At about 8:35 p.m. on July 23, officers were dispatched to Talmadge Hill Train Station on a report that a person there was walking on the train tracks crying, according to a police report.

Police found no one there, but later found the individual at Radio Shack on Park Street in downtown New Canaan, the report said.

Following an investigation, police learned that the victim had been assaulted by the Ansonia man and then pushed out of a car near the Talmadge Hill station, it said.

Local authorities obtained an arrest warrant and police in Ansonia took him into custody, according to the report.

He was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Police held the man on $1,500 bond and scheduled him to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
