Police arrested a 52-year-old New Canaan man after midnight on Saturday after he drove off of Seminary Street with an obstructed windshield.

At about 1:45 a.m. on Feb. 6, officers responded to the short street on a report that a vehicle had traveled off of the roadway and come to rest on a rock wall between the rear of a Seminary Street residence and a business behind it, on Elm Street, according to a police report. Police later found the man at his home. He required no medical attention, police said.

The motorist was charged with evading responsibility, driving with an obstructed windshield and failure to drive right. His windshield was obstructed by ice and frost, the man told police, according to the report.

He was released on $100 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 18 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
