Police: Charged in Domestic Incident, New Canaan Woman Violates Conditions of Release

New Canaan Police on Wednesday arrested a 42-year-old Juniper Road woman by warrant and charged her with second-degree violation of conditions of release, a misdemeanor offense.

She had been charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic incident at about 2:03 p.m. on Jan. 6 at her home, according to a police report. Not four hours later, at about 5:52 p.m., police were dispatched to the residence again because the woman had violated the conditions of her release by going back there, the report said.

Police then obtained a warrant for the new charge, it said.

It isn’t clear who was involved in the original incident or how the arrested woman is related to the victim.

She turned herself in at about 7 a.m. on March 22. Police held the woman on $15,000 and she appeared the same day in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

Police withheld further information, calling it a domestic matter.
