Letter: Inviting All Young Women’s League of New Canaan Alumnae for a Gathering Jan. 25

To the Editor:

For 45 years, the Young Women’s League of New Canaan has united women in friendship and service. As fundraising and social events have evolved, one thing has remained constant: a deep dedication to giving back to our community. Thousands of women have come together over the years to make an incalculable difference in the lives of so many through fundraising events and service opportunities. The incredible women that populate the organization today know that the work they do now would be impossible without the groundwork laid by those who have come before them. We are inextricably linked in a chain of sisterhood and service (and Egg Hunt organizing!).

Q&A: Meet the Young Women’s League

For this installment of our series of Q&A’s with local service organizations, we focus on the Young Women’s League. Many thanks to club president Maia Sapanski for responding to our questions below. New Canaanite: Is the Young Women’s League of New Canaan part of a national or international organization? If so, please provide details of that organization, such as the year it started, its size and scope. Maia Sapanski: No, the YWL is a local organization.
