The town last week received an application to build a new 2,725-square-foot home on Harrison Avenue. The new house planned for 14 Harrison Ave. will include four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, one half-bath, a finished attic (485 square feet) and finished basement (775 square feet), according to a building permit application received April 30. The town on April 4 received an application to build a 7,827-square-foot home on West Hills Road. The new house at 85 West Hills Road will include five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to a building permit application. It will include a three-car garage and pool house. It will cost about $2 million to build and the contractor on the job is Greenwich-based Premier Home Builders LLC, the application said. The architect is Neil Hauck Architects LLC of Darien, it said. New Construction Planned for Brushy Ridge Road

The town last week received an application to build a new 5,700-square-foot home on Brushy Ridge Road where e 1953 Cape about half that size had stood. The new house planned for 188 Brushy Ridge Road would include five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half-baths and three-bay garage with an unfinished basement and attic, according to a building permit application filed March 20. The house will cost about $975,000 to build and the contractor on the job is New Canaan-based Rick Sillo Construction. It was designed by Lecher Development LLC, also of New Canaan. New Construction Planned for Sturbridge Hill Road

The town on Wednesday received an application to build a 7,321-square-foot home on Sturbridge Hill Road where a house about half that size had stood. The five-bedroom home planned for 61 Sturbridge Road will include five bathrooms, two half-baths, a finished attic and covered back porch, according to a building permit application. The 2.43-acre property was purchased in July for $1.5 million and a permit to demolish the house there was issued four months later. Its new owner is a limited liability company, Fore Group, whose principal is a Farmington man, according to records on file with the Connecticut secretary of the state. The house planned for the 4-acre parcel at 734 Oenoke Ridge Road will include five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, two half-baths, four fireplaces, a finished basement and three-car garage, according to the building permit application.
