We canvassed downtown New Canaan on Wednesday morning, giving locals a chance to share their thoughts on town resident Brian Williams.
The longtime NBC Nightly News managing editor and anchor on Tuesday was suspended for sixth months following the network’s internal review of his comments about experiences in the Iraq War.
In My opinion Brian Williams should be given a break. I for one will support him by NOT tuning in to NBC Nightly News again until his name appears in the heading. That said, Brian also has an opportunity here to go do something else if NBC decides to say bye bye permanently. Brian is a good guy and gives back to his community has a good sense of humor and meant well. let’s take the high road here and support one of our own.
