In addition\, the show won the 2007 GLAAD award for “Outstanding New York Theater.” The New York Times called her one-woman show “fiercely funny\, honest and moving.” \nLiz Barrett’s one-liners come fast and furious and she is often called a female Steven Wright and a thinking man’s Roseanne. Karen has written two comic novels\,  Following Polly and Perfect is Overrated\, which have earned praise from The New York Times\, Oprah Magazine\, and her mother-in-law.
