SUMMARY:Bankwell in New Canaan presents Free Back-to-Back Seminars on 529 College Savings Plans and Social Security Updates
DESCRIPTION:As part of an ongoing effort to provide value to the community\, Bankwell in New Canaan will host two free back-to-back seminars on Thursday\, November 10th at the bank’s 208 Elm St. branch. The seminars will be presented by Dave Piersol\, a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones in Darien. \nThe first seminar\, themed “College: Getting There from Here\,” is designed to help parents and/or grandparents establish a college savings goal for a child and strategies to help achieve the goal with the features and benefits of 529 College Savings Plans. The seminar will run from 10:30-11:30 and refreshments will be provided. \nThe second seminar\, themed “Social Security: Your Questions Answered\,” will discuss ways to maximize Social Security benefit amounts for the individual and spouse based on age\, life expectancy\, employment and need\, and also with respect to the new rule changes enacted by Congress. This seminar will take place from 12:30-1:30 and will include a light lunch. \nInterested parties may attend one or both events\, each of which is limited to the first 25 people who RSVP.
