SUMMARY:Concert of Metropolitan String Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 11\, at 7pm\, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in New Canaan\, CT\, will host a concert of a youth string ensemble The Metropolitan String Orchestra (MSO)(http://www.metropolitanstringorchestra.com) Based in Fairfield County\, MSO engages talented pre-college musicians from Connecticut\, Westchester County\, Manhattan\, Long Island\, and New Jersey. MSO has performed at prestigious venues including the United Nations\, Fairfield University\, and The Lounsbury House\, in addition to various cultural and community centers in Manhattan and Fairfield County. The program will include J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor\, Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major\, and Bartok’s Romanian Dances. MSO Founder & Director\, Alexis Walls\, will join St. Michael’s Music Director\, Dr. Alla Borzova\, to perform music by Fritz Kreisler.  Concert program will be followed by a reception and tickets for the event may be purchased at the door (Adults – $20\, Children under 18 – Free).
