SUMMARY:Fazio To Report on General Assembly Session at Men’s Club
DESCRIPTION:       State Sen. Ryan Fazio will update members of the New Canaan Men’s Club on the just concluded General Assembly session at the club’s meeting June 7 in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church\, 111 Oenoke Ridge.\n	Fazio\, a Republican\, represents Greenwich\, Stamford and a portion of New Canaan. First elected in 2021\, Fazio serves as ranking senator on the Energy and Technology Committee. He also serves on Planning and Development; Finance\, Revenue and Bonding; and Transportation Committees.\n	The Men’s Club meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with Fazio beginning his legislative update around 10:40 a.m.\n	In a recent comment\, Fazio pointed to reforms in 8-30g affordable housing laws which are aimed at easing towns’ ability to obtain moratoriums from the requirements. “Our proposal to make it easier for towns to get consecutive moratoriums was inspired by the denial of a second moratorium for New Canaan\,” he said in the release.\n	The Men’s Club has openings for new members.
