DESCRIPTION:One of the most difficult experiences parents can face is the loss of an infant\, which can be a time of overwhelming grief and emotional isolation. It is with this understanding that New Canaan-based nonprofit First Candle will host an Infant Loss and Stillbirth Bereavement Conference on Saturday\, October 21\, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. online and on site at the Norwalk Inn\, 99 East Avenue\, Norwalk.\nThe program is designed to support parents experiencing the loss of a baby to Sudden Unexplained Infant Death (SUID) or stillbirth\, and will include workshops offering guidance on navigating grief\, coping strategies\, and building resilience. Sessions will include a workshop with Kelly Farley\, author\, speaker and founder of Grieving Dads. He and his wife know loss through miscarriage and stillbirth\, leading to his work with bereaved fathers. \n
