SUMMARY:Managing Your Career
DESCRIPTION:The Smith College Club of Fairfield County and the Alumnae Association of Smith College will host Managing Your Career\, a day-long event offering a dozen workshops on a range of career topics\, and featuring a keynote address by author Erin Moran McCormick. The event is open to the public.\nWorkshops run concurrently and will be offered on topics relevant to every career stage including Job Searching\, Negotiating\, Branding\, Networking\, and Communication\, and given by presenters noted for their expertise in the field. Featured at the event will be Erin Moran McCormick\, an entrepreneur\, techie\, designer\, innovator and author of “Year of Action – How to Stop Waiting & Start Living Your BIG\, Fabulous Life.” Erin has started three companies\, was Director\, Curriculum Innovation & Technology at Babson College and is currently a Partner at the International Entrepreneurship Center. Her keynote address is entitled\, “Turning Talk Into Action.”\nThe day of workshops and networking is $85 and includes both continental breakfast and lunch. Registration is online at ctsmithclub.org\, and pre-payment is required. A complete list and descriptions of workshops and presenters can be found at ctsmithclub.org.\nThe Smith College Club of Fairfield County is a nonprofit organization serving over 500 dynamic and diverse alumnae of many generations who share a dedication to Smith College and community outreach. Its mission is to fortify relations between Smith alumnae\, Smith College and the local community. The club is well known for the book sale it ran for many years at Waveny House in New Canaan. The sale raised over 500\,000 for the club’s scholarship fund which is awarded annually to a promising young woman from Fairfield County. \n
