DESCRIPTION:First Selectman Moynihan to report on State of New Canaan at Men’s Club \n	First Selectman Kevin Moynihan will make a State of the New Canaan presentation to the New Canaan Men’s Club Friday\, Jan. 14\, during its virtual meeting. The meeting\, beginning at 10 a.m.\, will be conducted virtually\, given the rise in the Omicron variant of Covid 19. The club is monitoring developments so it can return to in-person meetings at its usual location\, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church\, as soon as practicable.\n	In this year’s remarks\, probably beginning around 10:40 a.m.\, Moynihan will discuss how the town has addressed health issues arising from the pandemic. During the year\, the town’s Health Department has been in the front line of successfully inoculating residents and the public schools have largely been open for in-person classes.\n	In other topics\, Moynihan may discuss the town’s acquisition of an Elm Street building as the new office for the Board of Education\, the start of construction for the New Canaan Library’s renovation and expansion and the expected improvements to cell service with the addition of new towers\, among other topics\, including the upcoming budget discussions.\n	The Men’s Club\, which meets most Fridays\, has openings for new members.
