DESCRIPTION:New Canaan Library invites all to enjoy the beauty of Spanish and Latin American piano music when pianist Donald Alfano performs on Thursday\, May 25 at 6 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room.  Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.\nComplementing the recital will be commentary by Alfano on Spanish and Latin American piano music that spans the time period of 1738 to 1965.The music performed\, which spans over 200 years\, will be represented by both well-known and more obscure composers.\nDonald Alfano is a pianist\, educator\, and author. Alfano has published articles in both American and foreign music journal. He has lectured on a variety of musical topics\, and has appeared on NPR in the capacity of performer and commentator. \n
