SUMMARY:NCPA 9th Annual Awards Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our Ninth Annual Preservation Awards on Sunday May 15th!  Selected by a jury of preservationists and board members of the Alliance\, the winners will be presented certificates of honor. There are three categories of winners\, the Committee’s Award for Rehabilitation\, the Trustees’ Award for Preservation and the President’s Award for Preservation.\nBeginning at 4:00 PM\, the public will be welcomed to a reception at the New Canaan Country Club. A representative from Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation will present an update on the State of Preservation in Connecticut and New Canaan.\nThis year\, there are five awards\, for residences ranging from an eighteenth century Federal style house to a 1950s Mid-Century Modern house. A sixth Award\, for Preservation\, will be presented to the New Canaan Land Trust for its restoration of nearly 400 feet of stone walls on Land Trust parcels.\nPlease join us as we congratulate each winner and the “gift” that they have given to our community.
