DESCRIPTION:The New Canaan Farmers Market’s winter market is open at the New Canaan Nature Center’s greenhouse from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays\, weather permitting. \nWhile you’re shopping in the greenhouse\, look for fun activities from the Nature Center for the little ones\, including: \n\nFebruary 17: Ms. Lizzie and her guitar for a sing along (1:00-1:45)\nMarch 17: Boil Down out at the Sugar Shack and possibly a maple-themed craft (all day)\nMarch 31: Bee Antenna craft as a celebration of spring (all day)\n\nThe Nature Center also hosts a weekly story hour. \nThe Farmers Market is holding weekly market basket drawings\, so customers can enter for a chance to win a fun filled market basket\, no purchase necessary. \nThere will also be the planting of the peas with the little ones on March 17th\, to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. \nHere’s a list of vendors: \n\nBridget’s Breads: Gluten free baked goods \nCarrot Top Kitchens: Pickles and hummus \nDu Soleil: fine cuisine \nFarm2Jar No-Grain-Ola: Granola with CT farm fresh ingredients \nGazy Brothers Farm: Seasonal produce \nGriffin Homestead\, possibly joining us in March\nMetro Crops LLC: Organic greens  (new with a cool story to tell!)\nOx Hollow Farm: Humanely raised meat and eggs\nPaul’s Custom Pet Food– Food grade pet food (coming soon)\nWhistle Stop Bakery: Pies and pastries\n\n
