SUMMARY:New Canaan Sculpture Group Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Carriage Barn Arts Center is presenting a new exhibition of works by members of the New Canaan Sculpture Group. “Encounters with Sculpture” will run from January 7-19 and feature several works in clay\, bronze\, stone and other media by thirteen members of the group. \nThe New Canaan Sculpture Group is a collaborative of Fairfield County artists who practice in studio space located on the lower level of the Carriage Barn Arts Center. Established more than 25 years ago\, the group convenes weekly to study under a master sculptor and tend to their practices casting\, carving\, assembling and modeling in a range of media. \nExhibit hours are Wednesday-Saturday 10am-3pm and Sunday 1-5pm. There will be a closing reception with the artists on January 19 from 4-6pm. \n
