DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. the America250 New Canaan Parade will step off\nfrom the Lumberyard Lot on Elm Street and proceed along the parade route (Elm to\nSouth Avenue) ending at Saxe Middle school. The best viewing will be along the\nsidewalks of South Avenue from Elm Street to Farm Road\nFeatured will be decorated floats\, honored guests\, colonial attired local groups\,\nvintage cars\, Shriner cars\, Our Town Band and fife & drum corps to name a few.\nMany local organizations are participating in this once in a lifetime event!\nThe Rain date is scheduled for Sunday\, June 28 beginning at 1 p.m.\nCoincidentally\, 2026 marks the 225th anniversary of New Canaan’s incorporation in 1801. As part of America’s semiquincentennial celebration\, the New Canaan events\nare highlighting the town’s history\, civic leadership and enduring patriotic spirit. \n
