SUMMARY:Outback Announces Return of HOOPS on March 31
DESCRIPTION:Yes\, it’s March Madness! Thanks to Grand Sponsor\, Brown\, Thayer\, Shedd Insurance\, Inc\, the Outback will be hosting the much-anticipated HOOPs event on Tuesday\, March 31\, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the New Canaan High School Gymnasium. \nLast year\, over 1\,000 attendees including elementary kids\, middle school students\, teens\, grandparents and parents\, cheered on the New Canaan Public School Faculty as they faced the entertaining Harlem Rockets on the basketball court. They will meet again at the end of this month. \nTeachers from all three elementary schools and Saxe Middle School team together to try and earn a win from the undefeated Harlem Rockets team. Playing this year from Saxe is 8th grade SPED teacher – Chris Duncan\, 6th grade Social Studies teacher – Brett Gillan\, 8th grade SPED teacher – Chris Manley\, 7th grade Social Studies teacher – Patrick Mignault\, 6th grade Science teacher – Laura Poidomani\, and 5th- 7th grade Language Arts teacher – Ben Young. Tom Dempsey\, Kyle Shouvlin and Christopher Sangalli join the team from East School\, Robert Rushton and Darren Bruce from West School and Kristen Baker\, Russ Bombard\, Jason Clark\, Chesse Dore and Josh MacDonald from South School. Come out and support these brave teachers! \nThe Outback is grateful to Tim Brown\, President of BTS Insurance\, who has been a long time supporter of the HOOPS event. Club Sandwich and Joe’s Pizza join BTS in sponsoring this year’s event. \nTickets to HOOPS are available for purchase online at www.newcanaanoutback.org or at the Outback\, located behind Town Hall. Tickets are $15 per person or $50 for a family of 4. Consider becoming a Booster Supporter by March 26th and enjoy sitting in reserved prime seats. All proceeds benefit the Outback. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Game starts at 7:00 pm. \n
