Join him for a talk on the bombing of Pearl Harbor and how it marked America’s official entrance into the second World War. The event takes place on Tuesday\, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.\nDecember 7\, 1941\, The Day of Infamy:  America enters the global conflict which would lead to the demise of European colonialism and the advent of the Cold War.  December 1941 was the turning point of the conflict; and Pearl Harbor\, together with the Soviet Army’s victory over Hitler’s forces at Moscow\, charted the course of the eventual defeat of the Axis Powers \nMark Albertson is a historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine. He is also the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America. Mark is a long time member of the United States Naval Institute. He has authored several books\, and currently teaches history at Norwalk Community College. \n
