DESCRIPTION:New Canaan Mounted Troop Cordially Invites You To Our 85th Anniversary 2024 Spring Gala\nMay 4\, 2024 | 6:30 PM\nWEE BURN COUNTRY CLUB\nHonoree | Georgina Bloomberg\nProfessional equestrian\, philanthropist\, author and animal activist.\nTickets are $300 and are on sale now.\nTickets: Early Bird $275 until March 1 \nFor 85 years\, New Canaan Mounted Troop (NCMT) has upheld a unique and valuable mission to build leadership\, responsibility and confidence in youth through sound horsemanship; and to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs through equine assisted experiences.\nToday\, the devoted team and volunteers at Mounted Troop work to deepen the bond between humans and horses through programs that connect over 300 adults and children each year with the beauty\, power and wisdom of horses: \nSuper Troopers\, a therapeutic program for children and adults with special needs.\nTroopers\, a youth development program where children ages 7–18 are mentored through equine care\, riding and barn management.\nYour generous support will enable New Canaan Mounted Troop to continue to bring its life changing programming to our community as well as provide the care\, feeding\, maintenance and retirement of the 28 donated horses and ponies at our barn.\nNCMT is a unique program that uses sound horsemanship and equine care to teach our students leadership skills\, team work\, community service. \n
