DESCRIPTION:Pursuing a Specialized School Placement  \nSpecial Education Law Attorney Lawrence Berliner\, moderator\, will focus on your child’s special education rights. He will guide parents whose child is struggling in school – to find appropriate educational solutions and placements. Schools will be represented by key personnel who will highlight the benefits of their school’s individualized programs. There will be break- out sessions with schools so that parents can obtain more information and find out how the school could best fit the needs of their child.  \nGrove School: Sean Kursawe\, Principal and Kelly Webster\, Associate Executive Director\, Madison\, CT. Grove School is a college preparatory therapeutic boarding school representing students in grades 7-12.  \nThe Southport School: Dr. Benjamin N. Powers\, Headmaster\, and Samantha Berg\, Director of Admissions\, Southport\, CT. The Southport School represents students with language based learning disabilities such as dyslexia\, and ADHD in grades K through 8th.  \nWinston Preparatory School: Beth Sugerman\, Head of School and Michelle Rolfe\, Director of Admissions\, Norwalk\, CT\, Winston Preparatory School represents students in grades 4-12\, with learning differences such as dyslexia\, nonverbal learning disabilities and executive function difficulties.  \n
