DESCRIPTION:Dust off those running shoes\, the annual Unite to Fight 5K will be held on August 21st\, 2022\, at the lovely New Canaan High School (NCHS). Filling in the Blanks is seeking runners and sponsors to raise much needed funds to help hungry children in our hometowns.\nEvery week Filling in the Blanks delivers 4\,000 weekend meal bags to children who face food insecurity. There are over 33\,000 children in Fairfield County facing food insecurity. Worse\, there are 131\,000 children in Connecticut facing food insecurity. Children in our neighborhoods are going hungry. Filling in the Blanks needs your help! Come out\, join us\, and tell all your friends!\nThere are early check in stations at Fleet Feet in Westport\, CT and Athletic Shoe Factory in New Canaan\, CT. Both will be open on Thursday August 18th from 11 am – 1 pm\, and Friday August 19th from 3 pm – 5 pm. On August 21st\, check in opens at 7:30 am and the 5K begins at 8:15 am. Followed after by the kids Fun-Run at 9:15 am. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the Kid’s Zone going on throughout the event. \n
