DESCRIPTION:NAMI Southwest CT will host a virtual LEAP® training workshop. LEAP (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner®) is an evidence-based program that teaches you how to create alliances with people struggling with serious mental illness that lead to treatment and recovery. \nBased on the book I Am Not Sick\, I Don’t Need Help!\, the interactive training will take place from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday\, May 15\, 2021 and is designed for family caregivers as well as mental healthcare professionals and peer-support specialists. \nThe workshop is hosted by the Southwest CT affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)\, and is free and open to the public.
