SUMMARY:Y to Host Parisi Athletic Performance Nation Challenge Combine Event and Open House
DESCRIPTION:The New Canaan YMCA is proudly in its fourth year of partnership with Parisi Speed School\, the nation’s leading youth athletic development program whose mission is to deliver a positive training experience that improves speed of movement and strength in character regardless of ability or economic status.   \nAthletic performance training at the New Canaan YMCA powered by Parisi Speed School is available to ages 7 and older and takes place in the Zone training center.  Programming is age-appropriate and fun\, focusing on building self-confidence\, skill development\, injury prevention\, and creating a love for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.   \nThe Y will be hosting a Parisi open house and Parisi Nation Challenge event on Saturday\, April 21 from 9:30am  to 11:30am.  The event is free and open to all members of the community ages 7+.  The event will provide participants with the fun chance to tackle a seven station combine-style challenge\, which will test speed\, agility\, explosiveness\, and strength—all skills that are developed and enhanced through the Parisi program at the Y.   \nThe Y’s Sports Performance Specialist\, Mark Spellman\, shared\, “As a strength and conditioning coach with over 20 years of experience\, I believe this program is the most important and effective program for your children to achieve their athletic goals in a strategic and safe way.”   \nTo register for this free event\, contact Mark Spellman at 203-920-1627 or mspellman@newcanaanymca.org.   \n
