New Construction: Six Homes Planned for New Canaan

The town building department on Wednesday issued a building permit that will see a new 6,000-square-foot home go up on a 1.35-acre Parish Road lot where a ranch one-third that size had stood. To be built for about $1 million by Stellar Homes of Brookfield, the new home at 75 Parish Road will include five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half-baths and five fireplaces, with a finished attic and three-bay garage, according to the permit. The lot sold one year ago for $1,275,000 and the ranch was demolished in June, tax records show. It’s owned by a limited liability company whose principal resides in Florida, according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State. ***

The town last Monday issued a permit to build a 7,820-square-foot home on a 2.22-acre Oenoke Ridge Road property. An avid gardener who was active in town affairs, Reifers was honored last year by the Public Tree Board, which planted a sycamore on the banks of Mead Pond in his honor on Arbor Day. The property was purchased for $1,625,000 in May, tax records show. It’s owned by a limited liability company whose principals reside in Westport and in Pound Ridge, N.Y., according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State.
