Global Perspectives at New Canaan Library Presents The Year of President Trump: Intelligence and National Security

New Canaan Library’s new lecture series Global Perspectives offers lectures, discussions and programs with the goal of opening up a dialogue on current global and national topics, from politics and economics to culture and the arts. Funded by a grant from a private foundation, the series aims to broaden perspectives and create greater understanding.

The second lecture, The Year of President Trump: Intelligence and National Security will be presented on Monday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

National security experts Jerry Goodwin and David Hunt will present their thoughts on the state of American safety and intelligence. Characterized by the relentless ambition of Russia’s President Putin, Chinese expansion in the South China Sea, continuing Iranian aggression in the Middle East and North Korea’s nuclear program, Hunt and Goodwin will reflect on the past year from the perspective of seasoned CIA professionals.
