The Waveny Park Conservancy is seeking to remove some Norway maple trees around Anderson Pond (at the bottom of the sledding hill) this winter, Parks & Recreation Director John Howe told the Parks & Recreation Commission during its Feb. 11 meeting. The organization is planning to replant trees in the area and is waiting on wetlands approval to do the work, Howe said.
