Dinesh Boaz: Known for his stunning, explorative aerial photography captured from a helicopter, Dinesh Boaz immortalizes the world’s most beautiful and intriguing locations in print. He works closely with the pilot to make the quick decisions necessary for a fast-moving shoot. Each photoshoot produces between 1,200 to 1,500 images. Weeks are spent organizing images, making test prints, and fine-tuning. Destinations include Greece, Hawaii, Big Sur, South Beach, Hamptons, Sri Lanka, and more.
Now a New Yorker, Dinesh Boaz was born in India with deep roots in Sri Lanka. He was drawn to photography through a passion for music production. The owner of a recording studio in Soho, he spent hours a day layering sound upon sound. “Like the great producers that influenced me, I started to visualize frequencies and harmonics as color palettes, and how each new frequency derived a unique visual tone,” says the artist, “I now equate the glass of the sound booth with the glass of the camera lens.”
Tina Anastasia: As Director of Interior Design for Mark Finlay Interiors, Tina Anastasia’s countrywide residential and commercial projects exude her expert, unique style; a perfect combination of practicality and refinement. The former owner of a successful architectural and interior design firm for 20 years, she joined Mark Finlay in 2013, was made partner in early 2018, and is the current president elect for the American Society of Interior Design. She is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades. Sorelle’s showcase gives the blank canvas to create her own visual scene – a snapshot of a room that becomes her art.
Kyle Hoepner: Presently editor-in-chief of New England Home Connecticut, a luxury design publication with offerings both in print and online, Kyle has had a distinctly hands-on relationship with magazines for more than thirty years. He has graciously agreed to lead our informal discussion, “Partnering Art with Interior Design.”
