On Saturday, October 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., the New Canaan Republican Town Committee is sponsoring a reception at the New Canaan Nature Center for the public to meet Republican candidates for municipal offices in the November 7, 2017 election. New Canaan’s own Mike Handler, Republican candidate for Governor, will also be in attendance to meet with voters and discuss issues vital to the State of Connecticut. All are welcome to attend for cider, doughnuts, ice cream and politics.

Candidates for municipal office are: Kevin Moynihan for First Selectman; Nick Williams for Selectman; Claudia Weber for Town Clerk; Andrew Brooks for Town Treasurer; Tom Butterworth, John Engel, Rich Townsend and Penny Young for Town Council; Dionna Carlson, Katrina Parkhill and Jennifer Richardson for Board of Education; Robert Avery and Janis Hennessy for Board of Assessment Appeals; and Arvind Bajaj, Mary Anne Marcella, Greg Pepe and Roger Williams for Constable.

The New Canaan Nature Center is located at 144 Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan.
