The New Canaan Democrats are thrilled to support the New Canaan Thrift Shop for their Grand Summer Tag Sale on Saturday, June 12th from 10 am – 4 pm. Rain date Sunday, June 13th.
Proceeds will benefit unfunded patient care for Visiting Nurse & Hospice, a member of Waveny LifeCare Network.
We are looking for donations as well as volunteers to help with event set up and clean up, and of course working the event itself.

The New Canaan Thrift Shop accepts donations of new or gently used, clean articles of clothing, accessories, jewelry, children’s books, sporting equipment, housewares, china, silver, paintings and small items of furniture. Please check items to ensure they are clean and in good working order. Volunteers will check your items at drop-off to ensure compliance. A tax deductible receipt will be provided.
Items for Donation:
– Any new donations with tags
– Gently used clothing free from rips, tears and heavy staining
– Gently used hats, ties, handbags, wallets
– Shoes and boots in good condition
– Jewelry and watches
– Children’s books, records, DVDs, CDs
– Laptops
– Housewares- complete sets of plates, utensils, and glassware
– China and decorative glassware – free from chips and stains
– Kitchen appliances – functional and clean
– Linens that are clean and free from staining
-Small pieces of furniture, antiques, artwork and collectibles
