Police after midnight Friday arrested a 19-year-old Darien man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 12:51 a.m. on Jan. 3, an officer on patrol clocked a vehicle exceeding the 25 mph speed limit traveling down Farm Road toward White Oak Shade Road, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer detected signs of impairment, the report said.
The driver underwent field sobriety tests and during a subsequent test police established his blood-alcohol level at .054, it said.
Police also cited him for speeding and possession of alcohol by a minor on a public street or highway, both infraction-level offenses.
He was scheduled to appear Jan. 15 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
