The New Canaan Building Department this month issued a permit for a new 6,100-square-foot house on Carter Street.
The five-bedroom home planned for 197 Carter St. will include six full bathrooms and one half-bath, according to the permit, issued April 17.
It will have a three-car attached garage and an attic with the fifth bedroom, bathroom and playroom, the permit said.
It will cost an estimated $1.3 million to build.
The contractor and architect on the job is Norwalk-based Anthony Tomas Builders LLC.
The 2.21-acre property was purchased in February for $1.1 million. The following month, the town issued a demolition permit for the 1930-built Colonial on the property. It’s owned by a limited liability company whose principals include Tomas, according to Connecticut Secretary of the State records.
