New Construction Planned for Kimberly Place

The Building Department has received an application for a 2,243-square-foot home near downtown New Canaan. The four-bedroom house planned for 90 Kimberly Place will include three full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, an unfinished basement, exterior terrace and attached two-car garage, according to a building permit application received June 17. It will cost about $1.4 million to construct, the application said. The contractor on the job is Holko Renovations LLC of Sandy Hook, the architect Neil Hauck Architects of Darien. The town in May issued a demolition permit for the 1941-built Cape-style home on the .26-acre lot.

New Construction Planned for Wahackme Road

The New Canaan Building Department last month received an application for a 7,700-square-foot house on Wahackme Road. The six-bedroom home planned for 335 Wahackme Road will include six bathrooms, one half-bath, three fireplaces, a finished basement and attic and three-bay garage, according to a building permit application received May 6. It will cost about $2 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Lecher Development LLC of Bridgeport, the architect New Canaan-based Stephen Lecher Associates LLC, it said. The two-acre lot currently includes a 1910-built, 700-square-foot cottage with two bedrooms, tax records show.

Two-Family Home Planned for East Avenue

The New Canaan Building Department on April 10 received an application for a new two-family home on East Avenue. Each unit at 64 East Ave. will have about 2,500 square feet of living space, with three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half-bath, according to a building permit application. The units will have finished basements and attics, with a 1-car garage, it said. The new structure will cost $950,000 to build, the application said.

New Construction Planned for St. John Place

The New Canaan Building Department on March 16 received an application for a 4,586-square-foot home on St. John Place. The five-bedroom house planned for 50 St. John Place will include four full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, an unfinished basement and attic and two-car garage, according to the building permit application. It will cost $1 million to build, the application said.

New Construction Planned for Ponus Ridge

The New Canaan Building Department received an application for a 7,100-square-foot home in western New Canaan home where a 1907-built house stands. The six-bedroom house planned for 1179 Ponus Ridge will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, four fireplaces, a finished basement and three-car garage, according to a building permit application received March 17. It will cost $1.3 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Setauket, N.Y.-based Woodcrest Homes LLC, the architect D. Peters Designs of Wilton. Purchased for $2.5 million in September by Woodcrest Homes LLC and then transferred to a new LLC, the 3.23-acre property (located in the two-acre zone) includes an antique 3,941-square-foot house, tax records show.
