New Construction Planned for Greenley Road

The New Canaan Building Department on Oct. 28 received an application for a new 9,967-square-foot home on Greenley Road. The six bedroom home at 255 Greenley Road will include seven full bathrooms, one half-bath, sauna, rec room, theater and wine room and a 3-bay garage, according to a building permit application. It will cost about $1,680,000 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Westport-based Barrington Building Company LLC, the architect RO & CO Architecture LLC of Stamford. 

The vacant 2.17-acre lot sold for $1,437,500 in August, property tax records show.

New Construction Planned for Woods End Road

The New Canaan Building Department has received an application for a 6,920-square-foot home on Woods End Road. The five-bedroom house at 72 Woods End Road will also include one guest bedroom five bathrooms, one half-bath and an additional bedroom and bathroom in a guest living area on the lower level, the Oct. 23 application said. It also will have a three-bay garage, it said. It will cost about $1.5 million to build, according to the application. 

The contractor is Jeff Scalise Building Contractor Inc. of Stamford, the architect Fairfield-based Marc G. Andre. 

The 2.02-acre property, located in the two-acre zone, includes a 1956-built, five-bedroom house with 5,424 square feet of living space, according to tax records.

New Residential Construction Planned for Former ‘Frogtown Nurseries’ Property

The New Canaan Building Department last month received an application for a 10,250-square-foot home on the former Frogtown Nurseries property. 

The seven-bedroom house at 259 Frogtown Road will include eight full bathrooms, two half-baths, a finished attic and three-bay garage, according to a building permit application filed Oct. 14. 

It will cost about $2 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is the property owner—The Frog Pond Estates LLC, a company whose managing principal is a New Canaan man, according to Connecticut Secretary of the State records—the architect is Easton-based CAH Architecture and Design LLC, it said. The two-acre property sold for $1.4 million in June, tax records show. 

Its prior owner had been involved in years-long legal battles with neighbors that were withdrawn from state Superior Court in the past 12 months, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records.

New Construction Planned for Oenoke Ridge

The New Canaan Building Department on Nov. 7 issued a permit for a new 7,000-square-foot home on Oenoke Ridge. The four-bedroom house planned for 1102 Oenoke Ridge will include four full bathrooms, one half-bath and an unfinished attic and basement, according to the permit. It will cost about $4 million to build, it said. The contractor on the job is Norwalk-based KAIS Customer Builders LLC, the architect Joseph W. Moore of Greenwich.

New Construction Coming to Forest Street

The New Canaan Building Department last month issued a permit for a 2,757-square-foot home on Forest St. The six-bedroom house planned for 80 Forest St. will include three full bathrooms, two half-baths, a two-bay garage and unfinished attic and basement, according to the permit, issued Sept. 12. It will cost $750,000 to build, the permit said.
