New Construction Planned for Orchard Lane

The New Canaan Building Department last month received an application to build a 4,200-square-foot home on Orchard Lane. The six-bedroom house planned for 19 Orchard Lane will include six full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace and a two-bay garage, according to the building permit application filed Nov. 7. It will include a 1,352-square-foot finished basement and 781-square-foot finished attic, the application said. The house will cost about $850,000 to build, it said. 

The contractor on the job is Lecher Development LLC, the architect Steven Lecher Associates LLC, both of New Canaan.

New Construction Planned for Smith Ridge Road

The New Canaan Building Department on Oct. 25 received an application for a 3,214-square-foot home on Smith Ridge Road. The new four-bedroom house at 624 Smith Ridge Road will include three full bathrooms, one half-bath, a two-car garage and unfinished basement and attic, according to the application. It will cost $1,190,000 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Bethel-based Westchester Modular Homes of Fairfield County CT LLC, the architect Westchester Modular Homes of Wingdale, N.Y.

The 5.01-acre property belongs to the Country Club of New Canaan, tax records show.

New Construction Coming to Green Meadow Lane

The New Canaan Building Department on Tuesday issued a permit for a 4,500-square-foot home on Green Meadow Lane. The five-bedroom house planned for 23 Green Meadow Lane will include four full bathrooms, two half-baths, one fireplace and a finished basement, according to the building permit application. It will cost $1.1 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Cognetta Homes LLC, the architect CMS Architects, both of Stamford. The 1.08-acre parcel was purchased for $1.4 million January, tax records show.

New Construction Coming to Skyview Lane

The New Canaan Building Department has issued a permit for a 3,030-square-foot home on the west side of town. The new four-bedroom house at 28 Skyview Lane will have four full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, a three-bay garage, open and covered decks and unfinished attic, according to a building permit issued Aug. 22. 

It will cost $1,050,000 to build, the permit said. The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based Ready Construction Inc., the architect Raspini Consulting Engineers LLC of Monroe. According to tax records, the new construction will replace a 1961-built Cape-style home that also was about 3,000 square feet on the 1.14-acre lot.

The New Canaan Building Department has issued a permit for a new 3,033-square-foot home on Pastures Lane. The new house at 74 Pastures Lane will have four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half-bath, a finished basement, two fireplaces and a three-car garage, according to the permit issued Aug. 20. It will cost $1,168,750 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Luxury Homes LLC, the architect is CMS Arc, both of Westport.
