New Construction Planned for Smith Ridge Road

The New Canaan Building Department on Monday received an application to build a six-bedroom home on a vacant 4.33-acre parcel on Smith Ridge Road. The new home planned for 729 Smith Ridge Road also including six bathrooms, six bathrooms, finished attic and basement and three-car garage, the building permit application said. It will cost an estimated $925,000 to build, the application said. The property’s owner, Ridgefield-based Nordic Builders Inc., is listed as contractor on the job. The architect is ARCH Design Services of Woodbury.

Demolition Application Filed for 1895-Built House on Weed Street; New Construction Planned 

The New Canaan Building Department on Jan. 27 received an application to build a new 6,957-square-foot home where an 1895-built Colonial stands. The wood-frame single-family residence planned for 635 Weed St. will include four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to a building permit application filed on behalf of the company that owns the property, WA LLC. The 14-room new home also will include a two-car attached garage, according to the application.

New Construction Planned for Toquam Road

The New Canaan Building Department last week received an application to construct an 8,500-square-foot home on a 1.02-acre parcel on Toquam Road. The six-bedroom home planned for 51 Toquam Road will include an attached garage, new driveway, expanded septic system and patio, according to the application filed Jan. 4. It will cost about $950,000 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Westport-based Coastal Luxury Homes, the architect Westport-based Tanner Whtie Architects, it said.

New Construction Planned for Douglas Road

The town on last month received an application to build a new 4,800-square-foot home on a .36-acre property near South School. The 2.5-story home planned for 120 Douglas Road will include five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half-bath and a two-car garage, according to a building permit application filed Nov. 23 with the New Canaan Building Department. It will cost about $1 million to build, the application said. The architect on the job is Stamford-based Flagship Custom Homes, the architect CD Design of Wilton, it said.

New Construction Planned for Oenoke Ridge

The New Canaan Building Department this month received an application to build a 5,660-square-foot home on Oenoke Ridge. 

The four-bedroom home at 963 Oenoke Ridge will include four full bathrooms, a half-bath, four propane fireplaces and an attached two-car garage, according to a building permit application submitted Nov. 12. 

It will cost about $1,001,000 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Pound Ridge, N.Y.-based Riverside Design & Build LLC. The architect is Michael Rudolph of the same company. A demolition permit for the 1956-built Cape Cod-style home was issued Nov.
