The New Canaan Building Department has received an application to construct a pair of 3,500-square-foot townhouses on a .32-acre Forest Street parcel.
The new four-bedroom townhomes at 124 Forest St. will include three full bathrooms, one half-bath and a two-car garage, according to a building permit application filed Feb. 19.
The property had an 1860-built two-family house, tax records show. A demolition permit was issued last month, according to building records.
The structures will be located back-to-front beside each other, with one unit facing Forest Street. They will feature “shaker siding, a shingle roof, and European casement windows,” the application said.
In total, both units will cost $1,875,000 to build, it said.
The contractor on the job is CT Real Estate Ventures LLC, the architect AWA Design Group, both of Stamford.
A limited liability company purchased the property for $1,350,000 in November, tax records show.
