September 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$40

Step into Grace Farms’ Sanctuary for a masterful performance from singer and songwriter Sheléa! Deemed one of the greatest artists of her generation by Quincy Jones, Sheléa is a powerhouse vocalist known for her sought after performances at high-profile tributes, celebrations, and various events.

Her notable list of performances include singing with Anthony Hamilton before President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama as a part of “Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles,” and performing a tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy Museum with producer Narada Michael Walden. She made her Carnegie Hall debut performing “Shattered” during a tribute to Jimmy Webb. At the suggestion of Stevie Wonder, she was invited to perform at the White House to honor songwriting team Burt Bacharach & Hal David with the Gershwin Prize singing Dionne Warwick’s classic, “Anyone Who Had a Heart.” In 2013, she released her debut album, Love Fell On Me (Breath of Life Records).
As an actress, in 2016, she appeared in All the Way, HBO’s multi-Emmy nominated film as a funeral choir soloist loosely based on Mahalia Jackson. In 2020, she portrayed gospel singer Dorinda Clark Cole in the biopic, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.

Voices of Culture is a concert and conversation series exploring beauty in different musical traditions. Held three times a year, Voices of Culture performances invite guests into Grace Farms’ Sanctuary where world-renowned artists perform and discuss their work with Grace Farms Music Director Marcus G. Miller.
