Police late Thursday night arrested a 36-year-old Wilton man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 11:37 p.m. on Feb. 8, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle moving in reverse on Ferris Hill Road, traveling westbound in both lanes of traffic, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath, the report said.
He failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody on the DUI charge, it said. At headquarters, the driver underwent a blood-alcohol content test which showed a reading of .207, more than 2.5 times the legal limit.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 21 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
