Robert H. Bayne III, known to all as Bob, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, at the age of 59. Born on March 27, 1967, in Stamford, CT, Bob was the beloved son of Robert H. Bayne, Jr. and Carol Bayne of Silvermine, CT, and Berkeley Bayne Ake and Philip Ake of New Canaan, CT and Church Hill, MD. He grew up in Darien, CT where he formed lifelong friendships and a deep love for family and community. Bob attended local schools in Darien and later graduated from the Marvelwood School in Kent, CT. where he was elected Senior Class President.
Nancy McDonnell Zeitler, of Jamestown, Rhode Island, died on Saturday, April 11, with her family by her side. She was 79 years old. She had struggled with lung cancer for the last 7 years, but in the end, her death came suddenly. Nancy was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania; her parents were Anita (Tinman) McDonnell and James Francis McDonnell. She spent many of her early years in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and she graduated from Marywood College in Scranton, with a degree in mathematics.
Grampy Sullivan, 79, grandfather to Virginia, Phoebe and Astrid Sullivan, died on Easter, after spending four days with his family. For the past 17 years, Grampy split his time between his condo in Agawam, Mass., and his son and daughter-in-law’s home in New Canaan. While his death was sudden, his last day was exactly what he would have wanted. He went to Easter Mass in St. A’s with his oldest granddaughter.
