New Canaan YMCA Whirlwind Diving Halloween Food Collection

The New Canaan YMCA introduced its Community Cupboard this fall, a year-round satellite location for food donations in partnership with the New Canaan Food Pantry. The initiative directly supports individuals and families in New Canaan experiencing food insecurity by providing a convenient, ongoing drop-off location for those interested in contributing. The Community Cupboard is located within the Y’s main entrance and is accessible during its operating hours. Food donations are delivered directly by the Y to the New Canaan Food Pantry’s primary drop-off location, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. This Halloween, the Y’s Whirlwind Diving Team contributed to the organization’s Community Cupboard initiative by collecting food donations while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
