Dyslexia & Literacy – Dr. Maryanne Wolf Speaks to CT Community

Dr. Maryanne Wolf will speak at Eagle Hill Southport School on Wednesday, October 19, at 7:00 pm. Lecture is free and open to the community. Information and registration for all lectures can be found at www.eaglehillsouthport.org/CLS or call 203.254.2044.

Topic: “Insights from the Reading Brain: Focusing on Reading Development, Dyslexia, and the Digital Culture.”

Dr. Wolf is the Director of the Center for Reading and Language Research at Tufts University. She is the author of Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain, which has received numerous awards and is now translated into 13 languages. Dr. Wolf has published hundreds of articles on reading and learning disabilities. A book signing for her newly published book, Tales of Literacy for the 21st Century: The Literary Agenda, will immediately follow her presentation.

EHSS believes in the need to serve as a resource to the learning differences community, and its Community Lecture Series provides opportunities for relevant, engaging conversations about the latest in research and practice in the field, as well as inspiring stories of success.

EHSS’ Community Lecture Series is funded in partnership with the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. Five lectures are currently scheduled for the 2016-2017 program.
