Lunch4design – Modern Migrations: Searching for the Next New Canaan

Friday, October, 14, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm

Modern Migrations: Searching for the Next New Canaan is the subject of David Sokol’s talk. David’s recent significant work includes the August 15, 2022 issue of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, which explored stewardship of late-midcentury modernism across five distinct homes, as well as his regular contributions to Architectural Digest and Dwell magazines. Prior to Hamptons Modern and Hudson Modern, his books have ranged from a definitive survey of contemporary Nordic product design to a paper pop-up history of modern architecture. David grew up on Long Island and earned an American Studies degree at Yale, and he and his husband Rick are currently finishing modernization of an 18th-century stone house in the Hudson Valley.

Copies of both Hamptons Modern and Hudson Modern will be available for purchase.

The lunch is catered by Diane Browne.
