On October 29 @ 7 pm, join architect and former President of the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society Mark Markiewicz, AIA, in a zoom presentation on the life and work of Eero Saarinen. “A Driven Search for American Architecture” explores Saarinen’s vision to capture the spirit of American optimism in the 1950s. New technology, a post-war economy and the Mad Men lifestyle all set the stage for his diverse projects- buildings, furniture and the famous St. Louis arch.
