‘Seeking Wellness by Putting Plants First’ Presented by Dr. Katie Takayasu Via New Canaan Library Webinar

Valentine’s week reminds us to show ourselves some love through a new, healthy approach to our lifestyles. New Canaan Library welcomes Dr. Katie Takayasu, MD, MBA who is a thought leader, author and speaker in holistic health that bridges the gap between traditional Western medicine and evidence-based complementary modalities in an approachable way. She will discuss her book Plants First: A Physician’s Guide to Wellness through a Plant-Forward Diet which is filled with recipes, helpful advice on inflammation, hydration, movement, rest and meditation, as well as information on how to incorporate more plants into your diet. Dr. Katie Takayasu. MD, MBA practices Integrative Medicine such as nutrition, acupuncture, meditation, botanicals and lifestyle optimization to help patients heal naturally. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian and is teaching the next generation of doctors about healing the whole patient.
