‘Sleep and Sleep Health: Your Brain Explained,’ Presented by Dr. Daniel Barone, Via Webinar from New Canaan Library

What does your brain do when you sleep? And more importantly, how does one achieve an optimal quality of sleep? New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Dr. Daniel Barone, Associate Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Center for Sleep Medicine, on Tuesday, April 13 at 7 PM EST. Dr. Barone will cover numerous aspects of sleep health and our brains, including a review of several sleep disorders like insomnia and sleep apnea, and various treatment for those disorders. Dr. Daniel Barone is currently the Associate Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Center for Sleep Medicine and an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Neurologist at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He specializes in the evaluation and management of patients with all forms of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia, and narcolepsy. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Neurological Association.
Dr. Barone is the first author of multiple peer-reviewed publications on a variety of topics in sleep medicine and has appeared in several media pieces. His first book, “Let’s Talk About Sleep,” was published in 2018.
